“Looking Good”

October 31st, 2012
A client of mine ordered glasses from the“Lookmatic” website and receives a lot of compliments.  This a great site for men+women who wear glasses (or sunglasses).  The cool thing about Lookmatic is  they have a virtual try on so you can see if you might like the glasses. ALSO…they are affordable and you can return a pair as many times as you want until you find a pair you like. GENIUS!   Lookmatic Eyeglasses

Print Power!

October 17th, 2012

Does everything in your closet look safe?  Do you live in a sea of solids?  Bring out your inner wild child and ADD LEOPARD!

I know, I know…you’re mind immediately jumps to Julia Robert’s character in Pretty Woman before she was “pretty”.  It’s no secret – dressing head to toe in a leopard print will make people gawk.  But adding a splash of leopard to your wardrobe will make people talk (all day long about how much they love your leopard shoes).

Leopard is fabulous in small doses and if utilized well can be the equivalent of a wardrobe facelift.   And FYI, Leopard is considered a neutral which means that you can pair it with the maroon jeans you just bought and don’t know what to do with.  An easy way to add leopard to your wardrobe is with simple accessories like ballet flats, a scarf, a thin belt or clutch.  These accessories add an instant wow factor without sacrificing class or chic.    (There are animal friendly options made with leopard print).

Mix & Match

October 10th, 2012

Today you can put stripes and plaids together or for any patterns for that matter.  For an edgy look it’s a great look to put a soft flowing skirt with a denim or a leather jacket.  Similar to telling a bride, “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” .  How do you do it?  Try picking different patterns by going to a second hand store and adding it to a new part of your wardrobe.  Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you feel comfortable wearing the different fabrics or patterns together.   You’ve got to OWN your Style!

“Hairs” To You!

October 3rd, 2012

Ever wonder why your makeup may not look great or you look too pale or too old?  Consider your hair color and what brings out your eyes and best skin tone.   Dark hair may cover your gray, but can make you look years older while you think blond makes you look younger it can make you look pale and sick.  It takes a knowledgeable hair color analyst to know it’s more than just a color you want, but rather what can work with your skin tone and features to make you glow.  This is when you need to call in a makeup professional who puts the best foundation, blush and eye color on your face.
