The Greatest Beauty Tip

September 28th, 2011

For attractive lips….speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes…seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure…share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair…let a child run his/her hands through it once a day.

For poise…walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed, never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands one for helping yourself  and the other for helping others.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Guys’n Jeans

September 21st, 2011

I know when shopping with guys they’ve gotten stuck on wearing light denim and can’t bring themselves to try dark jeans.  Keep in mind change is good and dark jeans make you look thinner and fashionable.  You can pair them with a great blazer for an awesome look.

Have you changed and your style has remained the same?

I had some fabulous ladies take part at the 3 hour Informal Class I taught at University of Texas on September 7.  I addressed selecting fashionable clothing styles that enhanced their specific body type and educated them on shopping their own closet by use of accessories. The women brought an item (i.e., blouse or scarf) from their wardrobe that they have trouble wearing, and I gave them advice on how to wear it.

Color Analyst and Makeup Artist, Natalie Gauci demonstrated how to choose colors best suited for their skin tone, plus: 3 Steps to Flawless Skin and Makeup in Minutes.

Stay tuned….We’ll be teaching another class in November!

White On!

September 7th, 2011

Have you ever wondered who made the rule that you have to have dessert after a meal?  Now that it’s September I think about the big rule that says to stop wearing white after Labor Day.  A guideline, yes; a rule, NO! It’s fun to cast off the rules.  Did Coco Channel wake up one day & hate the color white and therefore decide to have a National White Out Season?  Where did this come from?  This year designers are saying it’s okay to wear white year round and they aren’t too sure where this rule was inspired.  So I’m headed to the mall for a white outfit whether “they” say ok or not!  Now who do we ask about dessert before the meal?
